BioPanel

Terms of use

BioPanel organises lab results into a table. These terms say what you may do with it, what it does not do, and where responsibility sits.

What BioPanel is

BioPanel is a web tool. You give it a lab report as a PDF or a photo, and it returns the results as a table with units, the ranges printed on the report and flags, and it can merge several reports in your browser. By using it you agree to these terms.

BioPanel organises results. It does not interpret them. Every range and flag is the one printed on your report, or a comparison of your value with that printed range. The site never supplies its own ranges.

Not medical advice, and no clinical use

  • BioPanel does not diagnose, treat or recommend anything, including any supplement, test or change to your care.
  • A flag such as above printed range says where a number sits against a range on a page. It does not say what the number means for you.
  • Do not use BioPanel to make or delay a decision about your health or anyone else's. Talk to a clinician about your results.
  • BioPanel is not a medical record and is not for clinical record-keeping. The original report stays the record.
  • If you think you may have an emergency, contact your local emergency services.

Acceptable use

You agree to use BioPanel only for lawful purposes and, in particular, not to:

  • upload a forged, altered or fabricated document, or use BioPanel to produce records meant to mislead anyone;
  • upload a document you have no right to upload, including another person's results without their permission or another lawful basis;
  • try to get around the allowance or the page limit, for example by clearing identifiers, using many devices, or sending automated or bulk traffic;
  • probe, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the service, or upload files that contain malware;
  • use the output in a way that presents it as a laboratory report, a diagnosis or a clinical record.

Your files and your results

You keep every right you have in your files and in the tables made from them. You give BioPanel permission to process a file you upload for one purpose: producing the table you asked for. How files are handled, and which services are involved, is set out in the privacy page.

You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload.

Accuracy

Reading a document is not perfect. A scan can be misread, a layout can shift a column, and a name or unit can be matched wrongly. BioPanel shows warnings when something looks off, but it does not promise that every value is complete or correct.

Check what matters against the original report before you rely on it or share it. You are responsible for that check.

Plans, limits and billing

Free use is 1 file per day, up to 10 pages, with no account. Personal is $9 per month for 30 reports a month and Clinic is $59 per month for 3 seats and 300 reports a month, each report counted at up to 150 pages, as the pricing page sets out. Plans are monthly subscriptions, billed in US dollars through PayPal. Paid access works through a page code: the first payment brings one by email, each renewal tops up the same code with the month's pages, and unused pages roll over and do not expire.

To stop a plan, cancel the subscription in your PayPal account or email [email protected] before the next renewal. The plan ends at the close of the month you have paid for, and the pages already on your code stay usable. Limits and prices may change for future billing periods, and the pricing page always shows the current ones.

Availability

BioPanel is provided as it is. It may be unavailable from time to time, and features and limits may change. Nothing on the site is a promise that it will work for every report layout.

Responsibility

To the extent the law allows, BioPanel and its operator are not liable for loss that comes from relying on its output, or from the service being unavailable or wrong. Nothing in these terms limits a responsibility that cannot be limited by law.

Changes and contact

If these terms change in a way that matters, the date at the top changes. Questions about them can go to [email protected].
